The Romanov Dynasty was the ruling family in Russia from 1613 to 1917, when the last Tsar was forced to abdicate during the Revolution that enforced communism. The Romanovs were autocratic rulers, and the most famous Romanov Tsars were Peter the Great, Catherine the Great, and Nicholas II (father of the famous murdered Anastasia).
