Brian Fagan

Brian Fagan is a British scholar who received his PhD in Archaeology and Anthropology from Cambridge in England. He excavated several sites in Africa and served as the Keeper of Prehistory in the Livingstone Museum in Zambia for some years, before becoming a Professor of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Fagan has long been interested in writing about archaeology and history for the general public, and making it accessible to people in all walks of life. He has written textbooks as well as popular history and archaeology books, many of them discussed through the lens of climate change and environmental conditions.
